A Gathering of Saints A Gathering of Saints, a monthly series of days apart for clergy, begins September 8 at Hiwassee College, Madisonville, TN. The day-long sessions provide the opportunity for clergy to “listen to God—and to breathe deeply.” A Gathering of Saints invites ministers to suspend the struggle to work out the details of life ‘in order to meet God in the presence of nature, communal worship, and solitude,’ providing a time to fill their spiritual wells. The sessions, held the first Thursday of each month, begin at 10:00 a.m. and focus on the life of a saint, followed by opportunities to explore various approaches to prayer. Those who desire may come early for a time of centering prayer, which begins at 9:30 a.m.
